ActivePipe adds four UTM parameters (query strings) to the URL of any external link clicked out of our system. This means that through Google Analytics (and other analytics platforms), you'll be able to determine how much of your website traffic is sourced from ActivePipe.
The links in your ActivePipe emails automatically include the following UTM parameters:
- utm_source - ActivePipe
- utm_campaign - The name of your campaign
- utm_content - The text shown on the link that was clicked
- utm_medium - email
If you would like to use your own UTM tracking codes on non property links, this will work provided they do not conflict with those above.
If you do wish to use any of the above UTM fields, to prevent your links from breaking we will need to disable Google Analytics in your account - contact support@activepipe.com to discuss this further*.
* Disabling Google Analytics will disable tracking codes on all links sent from your account, including property links.
