When trying to convert your custom field Text into Dates, the system will analyse your data to confirm if it matches your requested date format. If it does not you will be alerted that either:

• If only some data is affected: Some current information will be lost if you choose to convert it.
• If none of the analysed data is compatible: You will not be able to convert your data, to prevent loss of information.
