To delete a communication category*, start by navigating to the Settings menu (1) and then select the Email sub menu (2). From here:
- From your list of current communication categories, locate the one you wish to delete.
- Select the Delete option adjacent to it (3).
You will then see one of the three following prompts:

- If the communication category is currently in use (i.e: you have emails assigned to this category), but you have other communication categories available, you will be given the option to re-assign the emails, and continue on to the delete confirmation.
- If the communication category is not currently being used with any of your emails, you will see a confirmation prompt, asking you to type "DELETE" (in capitals) within a box, and then select Delete to complete the request.
- If the communication category is currently in use, and you do not have any other communication categories, you will be advised that you are unable to delete this communication category.
- If the communication category is currently in use (i.e: you have emails assigned to this category), but you have other communication categories available, you will be given the option to re-assign the emails, and continue on to the delete confirmation.
* Communication categories can be managed by Admins only.
As well as deleting them, they can also edit or add them.
