If you're an Admin who is sharing a Managed Audience with users or offices, you can choose at any time to stop sharing it with:
- Individual users or offices;
- Multiple users or offices at once (Bulk Action);
- Or stop sharing the audience altogether.
It's important to note that if you revoke access for anyone that has used the audience, it will remain in their account as a Personal Audience, meaning that it won't receive any further Admin updates or management, and the user/office will have full control over that audience within their account (only). The audience will be removed from accounts where it has not been used.
Stop sharing with individual users or offices
As an Admin, navigate to the Audiences menu and select the audience you want to stop sharing.
From here:
- From the table showing who the Audience is being shared with, select the more icon next to the user or office you want to stop sharing with to see the options.
- From the options, select Stop Sharing.
- You'll be advised that managed access will be removed for the selected user or office, however if they have used this audience they will retain it as a personal audience.
- Select Stop Sharing
- Select Stop Sharing
Stop sharing with multiple users or offices
As an Admin, navigate to the Audiences menu and select the audience you want to stop sharing.
From here:
- From the table showing who the Audience is currently being shared with, use the tick boxes (1) to select who you want to stop sharing with.
- From the newly visible Bulk Actions above the table, choose Stop Sharing (2).
-
- You'll be advised that managed access to the audience will be removed for the selected users or offices, however if they have used this audience, they will retain it as a personal audience.
- Tick the box indicating that you understand and agree, then select Confirm.
- You'll then see that the audience is not being shared. You can choose to share it again whenever you prefer.
Stop sharing the audience completely
There are two options to stop sharing an audience completely:
Use bulk actions to stop sharing with all users and offices
Navigate to the Audiences menu and select the audience you want to stop sharing.
From here:
- From the table showing who the audience is currently being shared with, tick the Select all box (3).
- From the newly visible Bulk Actions above the table, choose Stop Sharing (4).
- You'll be advised that managed access to the audience will be removed for all selected users or offices, however if they have used this audience, they will retain it as a personal audience.
- Tick the box indicating that you understand and agree, then select Confirm.
Delete the audience
You can choose to delete (and therefore stop sharing) the audience.
Navigate to the Audiences menu and select the audience you want to delete and stop sharing.
From here:
- From the audience Filter bar, select Delete Audience (5).
- You'll be advised that the audience will be deleted from your Admin account, and from any shared accounts where it has not been used. Anyone who has used the audience will retain it as a personal audience.
- Type DELETE in the box to confirm that you understand and agree, then select Delete.
