If you have created a campaign as an Admin*, you can temporarily pause, or permanently stop an active campaign if you wish to.
You can choose to either pause/stop the campaign for all users (your whole office/group), or pause/stop the campaign for one or more users.
* If you are a User, you can Pause or Stop a campaign that you have created yourself.
If the campaign has been created by your Admin on your behalf, you can choose to opt-out of a delegated campaign (when it's not actively sending), however only your Admin can Stop a campaign mid-process.
Pause a campaign
Start by navigating to your Campaigns menu, and from the list of Current Campaigns, find the campaign you would like to pause.
If you see a status of Scheduled or Running*, there are two ways you can pause the campaign from here, either:
- Click the more icon alongside the campaign, and choose Pause;
-
Or click on the campaign to go into the campaign editor:
- Within the editor, click the Pause button to stop the campaign for all users.
* A campaign with the status of Finished cannot be paused.
A campaign with the status of Processing can only be Stopped, see more details here.
Stop a processing campaign
It is possible to stop a campaign that is actively sending (processing).
Find more information on this here: Urgently stop a campaign during sending
Restart a campaign at a later date
To restart a Paused campaign at a later date, when you're ready just adjust the date/time to suit, and select Save & Activate to reschedule your campaign.
Stop permanently
To stop your campaign permanently, after pausing the campaign click the Stop button (if the campaign has never been sent, just leave it in Draft and archive it if you wish to).
Note that after you click Stop you will not be able to restart this campaign. If you would like to send the same email again, you can create a new campaign to send it out in.
Stop all campaigns for one User
To stop all campaigns being sent on behalf of one User, e.g: due to a staff member leaving your office, disable their account instead.
