You can update a Contact's Preferences in regard to their preferred location, either directly through their Contact Profile, or as part of a CSV upload.

Preference name

To be successfully imported through a CSV file, the column headings for these preferences should be:

• City - Town and Suburb also accepted.
• ZIP (For US users) - ZipCode, Address - Zip also accepted.
• Postcode (For users in ANZ) - Postal, PostalCode, Address - Postal Code also accepted.
• State - State Prov, State/Province also accepted
• Country

* If these are not successfully matched during the Verify stage of an upload, you can manually match them.

Preference Data

To be successfully imported through a CSV file, each preference / data cell should include one value only, e.g: Suburb Preference: Malvern (1)

Do not have several options in the same cell separated by commas, spaces or quotation marks, e.g: Suburb Preference: Malvern, Malvern East, Glen Iris (2)

City

City data does not need to conform to a supported list of cities/suburbs.
Only one city preference per contact/data cell can be uploaded in a CSV at this time.
Additional cities/suburbs can be added directly in the contacts profile.

ZIP/Postcode

ZIP/Postcode data does not need to conform to a supported list of ZIP/Postcodes.
Only include one ZIP/Postcode preference per contact/data cell can be uploaded in a CSV at this time.
Additional ZIP/Postcodes can be added directly in the contacts profile.

State

State data does not need to conform to a supported list of states.
Only one State preference per contact/data cell can be uploaded in a CSV at this time.
Additional State preferences can be added directly in the contacts profile.

Country

Country data must be written as a compatible country code or name, being:

• The official name of the country, e.g: Australia, United States of America.*

Or

• The ISO3166-1-Alpha-2 country code, e.g: AU, US*

If an unsupported format is used in a CSV upload, e.g: AUS, this data will be skipped, and you will see advise of this in your Import Overview.

Only one Country preference per contact/data cell can be uploaded in a CSV at this time.

Additional Country preferences can be added directly in the contacts profile.

* For US contacts, the accepted formats also include "United States", "USA".
"Hawaii" and "Alaska" are also converted to "US".
