There may be cases where you would like to restrict your users from changing anything in an email you've created, except for one section - e.g: only allow users to edit the text in their introductory panel, or change the feature property selection, so that they can personalise their individual email.
This is easily enabled, by placing restrictions on the email.
It is important to set email wide restrictions first, and then set individual panel customisations. If you modify individual panels and then modify the email wide restrictions, the latter change will override any individual settings previously saved.
Allow users to edit their introduction text (only)*
Starting in the email editor, set the email wide restrictions to lock all the panels:
- Click on the more icon next to your email name.
- Click on the Restrictions tab.
- Tick Lock Everything.
- Click Save to update your template.
Then click on the text or text/image panel that you would like to exclude from your restrictions:
- Click on the options icon;
- Within the pop-up, click on the Restrictions tab.
- Untick Content editing.
- Click Save to update your template.
