When an email is created by an admin or corporate user (who can share emails), they can choose to restrict how much of the email can be edited by their users.
These restrictions can be customised to affect one, or several individual panels, or can be set to restrict all panels within an email.
The restrictions can include the layout and styling of the email, and/or the content.
Restricting editing access can assist with:
- Keeping your brand styling tightly aligned and adhered to.
- Retaining important brand or office level content, whilst allowing users to personalise their individual email.

- Click on the more icon next to your email name.

Important points to note when using panel restrictions
- If one section is restricted, that area will be hidden or disabled in the email for all users.
If Lock All is selected, any affected panels will be marked with the lock icon to show that they cannot be modified at all. - If you modify the restrictions for an individual panel after setting whole email restrictions, you can create an email in which all panels are the same except one - e.g: all panels are locked, except the introductory panel.
- If you modify any individual panels, and then modify the whole email restrictions, the latter change will override any individual settings saved previously.
- Any restrictions applied will only effect the individual email. If you wish to apply these restrictions to more than one email, you can duplicate an existing email with the desired settings, or contact support@activepipe.com to discuss applying these restrictions office/group wide.
