Within the ActivePipe email builder, you have the ability to filter property panels to suit individual contact preferences, i.e: you can send a thousand emails, every one of which may include different properties, tailored to each contacts needs.
This level of personalisation and relevance will significantly assist with your contact engagement and relationships, promoting trust from your contacts that you know what they are looking for.
Filter property panels by contact requirements
Starting in the email builder, select the relevant property panel to make it active. Make sure that the feed toggle is set to Dynamic
From here:
- Select Define Properties
- Within the Define Properties menu, choose the Contact sub menu.
- Under Match contact requirements, tick one or more of the options*:
- Price - Matched to min and max if available; or up to max / more than min if one value is recorded.
- Bedrooms - Matched to min and max if available; or up to max / more than min if one value is recorded.
- ZIP/Postcode - Matched to exact ZIP or postcode.
- Suburb
- Property Type - Matched to each contact's recorded preference, e.g: House for Residential users, Industrial for Commercial users.
* It's important to note that if multiple preferences are ticked, the property panel will be filtered by all selected requirements, not either.
This is excellent in terms of delivering highly relevant content to your contacts, but it's important to note that (if this property panel is the only one in your template) your email will reach far less contacts if filtered to higher degrees.
ActivePipe recommends using a buyer matched property panel in conjunction with an additional property panel beneath, containing a broader range of your latest listings. This will allow your contacts to see their most relevant properties first, but also browse other properties that they may find interest in.
How are contact preferences recorded in ActivePipe, and what happens if a contact has none?
Being able to filter properties to match contact requirements (preferences) depends on:
- The contact having these preferences in your CRM, and;
- Contact preferences being integrated with your ActivePipe account*.
Or:
- For users that manage their contacts through CSV uploads or manual entry, contact preferences can be added as part of a CSV import, or directly within their Contact Profile.
If a contact does not have any preferences, their preferences do not match any listings, or their preferences are not integrated with ActivePipe, they will not see any buyer matched property panels (i.e: the section will not appear in the contacts email).
If a buyer match panel is not relevant to a contact, and there are no other (manually chosen or broadly filtered) property panels in the template, the contact will not receive an email at all.
This is another reason why ActivePipe recommends the use of a buyer matched panel in conjunction with a broader "latest listings" panel, so that you communicate with all of your contacts, regardless of having matching buying criteria or not.
* Not all CRM integrations send/receive contact preference data. Contact the ActivePipe support team to discuss.
