It is firstly important to note that deleting contacts within ActivePipe allows for the same contact to be uploaded and subscribed at a later date (either through CRM integration or CSV upload).
If you want to be certain that particular contacts do not receive future communications through ActivePipe, we recommend unsubscribing, or even blacklisting them instead.
Integrated contact accounts: Deleting contacts
If your contacts are integrated with your CRM, you'll need to delete the contact/s there, and this will sync through to your ActivePipe account.
Non-integrated contact accounts: Delete a single contact
If you manage your contacts within ActivePipe using CSV files, you can delete a contact through your contact list, or the contacts profile.
Start by navigating to the Contacts menu (admins will first need to switch to the relevant user account).
From here:
- Click on the Contact List tab.
- Locate the contact you wish to delete from the list, and click the more icon to the right of it.
- Choose Delete
- Verify that you wish to delete by clicking Yes on the confirmation prompt.
Or:
- From either the Contact List or Overview tab, click on the magnifying glass
to search for the contact.
- Start typing their name or email address, and then click on the correct contact record to be taken to their Contact Profile.
- Click the Manage Subscription button.
- On the pop-up, click the Delete Contact link.
- On the confirmation prompt, tick to confirm that you understand the deletion is permanent.
- Click Delete.
Non-integrated contact accounts: Delete multiple contacts
If you manage your contacts within ActivePipe using CSV files, you can delete multiple or all contacts through your Contact List.
Start by navigating to the Contacts menu (admins will first need to switch to the relevant user account).
From here:
- Click on the Contact List tab.
- Use the tick boxes to make your selection, either by:
- Ticking individual contacts;
- Using filters to define a group of contacts;
- Holding down shift + click to select all contacts in a sequential order;
- Selecting all contacts from the current page (1);
- Selecting all contacts in your account:
- You may need to expand your display per page (3) limit to show all contacts first;
- Or you can select any contact and then click the Select all contacts link (2).
- Then, from the Bulk Actions bar, choose Delete
- On the confirmation pop-up, tick the box to confirm you understand all contacts will be deleted, then click Delete.
