There are two ways to add a tag to an individual contact:
Add a tag through the Contacts List
Starting in the Contacts menu:
- Click on the Contact List tab.
- Click on the more icon next to the contact you would like to add a tag to.
- From the options, choose Tags
- In the subsequent pop-up, start typing in your tag. Previously used tags that match your text will be suggested in a dropdown. Either:
- Select a suggested tag from the dropdown;
- OR type in a new tag and press Enter to add it.
- Click OK
Add a tag in a contacts profile
Starting in the Contacts menu:
- Click on the Contact List tab.
- If required, search for a contact by clicking on the magnifying glass icon found top right of screen.
- Click on the relevant contact to go into their Contact Profile
- Scroll down the Contact Information page to locate the Tags section.
- Click on the Add New Tag box and start typing in your tag. Previously used tags that match your text will be suggested in a dropdown. Either:
- Select a suggested tag to add this to the contact;
- OR type in a new tag and press Enter to add the tag.
Remove a tag
To remove a manually added tag, just click the x next to it within a contacts' profile. *
* Note: Only manually added tags can be removed, system generated or integrated category tags cannot be removed this way.
